Criminal Justice Department to Get a New Home at SUNY Canton

SUNY Canton is renovating their original 1960’s athletic facility to house the Center for Criminal Justice, Intelligence and Cyber Security as well as the University Police Department.  The inclusion of the UPD will create opportunities for collaboration with law enforcement officials.

Dana Hall originally contained a gymnasium and a pool.  The gym will be maintained for student use while the pool will be infilled and an extension of the second floor will create additional floor space.

The facility will include classrooms, a crime scene lab, crime scene investigation and observation spaces, interrogation practice rooms and faculty offices.  Students in the program will also be provided dedicated lounge space, study and collaborative learning spaces.

Construction will begin spring 2019 and will conclude January 2021.
